Debrief
See exactly how a battle was won.
Debrief replays a battle on a live tactical plot – every position, salvo, torpedo run and sinking, as it happened.
Sign in to upload your own battles and download any battle as a video to share. GD Supporters also get the advanced analytics: the Base XP formula line by line, who did the damage on both teams, gunnery, spotting, what broke and when, and the full kill feed.
Post-game report
Computed from the replay's recorded streams; values marked ≈ or est are estimates from your point of view.
How they fought
From what each ship did in the battle: when its main guns fired, when an enemy was inside its gun range and visible, and how quickly it shot. Pick a ship on the map or in Teams.
Gunnery: salvo by salvo
Show every salvo
| Time | Fired | Target | Hits | Pen | Ric | Shat | Over | Damage |
|---|
Your own main battery only: the game tells the recording player how each of their shells landed, not anyone else's. A cycle is every turret firing once, whether as one broadside or one at a time with the trigger held (ripple); a partial cycle is fewer turrets than the ship has. Click a row to jump there.
Damage by source
| Source | Share | Damage | Hits |
|---|
Your damage split by what caused it, from the ledger the game keeps in-match. Partial by design: it under-counts, so the rows will not always add up to your total. Source names are identified from replay evidence, and anything we could not identify is left unnamed rather than guessed.

Kill feed
Click a sinking to jump the playback to that moment.
Team comms & collisions
Quick commands and radar/sonar calls your team saw, and every time your own ship ran into land or another ship. The game sends these to the recording player's team only, so the enemy's calls are not in the replay. Click a row to jump there.
Air
Whose planes you shot down
Who shot down your planes
Squadrons launched
| Ship | Sorties | Planes | Lost |
|---|
Show your squadrons
| Time | Squadron | Planes | Lost | AA damage | Damage | Aloft |
|---|
From the squadron feed on your minimap, so enemy carriers' squadrons count only while your team could see them. Planes lost are planes that left a squadron other than by splitting off to attack. Click a row to jump there.

Player timeline
One ship's battle, lane by lane. Click anywhere on a lane to jump playback there. Pick another ship on the map or in Teams to drill into theirs. Hits and damage per shot are only known for the recording player; for others, what their fire achieved shows as the ships they sank. Win chance is your team's chance of winning (or theirs, for an enemy ship), from the points race and ships still afloat: a model fitted on 549 uploaded battles that starts even and ends at the result; ticks along its foot are sinkings. Every lane here and in What broke runs from the start of the battle to its end.
Damage zones
Red = saturated: hits there do half damage. Follows playback and the selected ship (click one on the map or in Teams).
Section table and how this works
Each section of the hull has its own damage pool. Penetrations drain the section they hit; once its pool is empty it is saturated and further hits there do half damage. Every penetration also drains the hull pool. The citadel has no cap. Levels come from the game's own reports, which arrive when a section is hit or repaired, so a Repair Party refill shows at the next one.
What broke
Knocked out repairs itself after a timer; lost is permanent for the rest of the battle. Read from each ship's own module state, so it covers every player in the match, not just you. Saturation lanes show each hull section's own damage pool: it drains as the section takes penetrations (darker = less left), and once it is empty (red, saturated) further hits there do reduced damage. Repair Party refills it; the game reports the new level at the section's next hit or repair.
Secondary battery
Biggest secondary brawls this match
Each secondary mount reports the ship it is assigned to, and every salvo names the mounts that fired, so this is exact per target. Pick another ship on the map or in Teams to see theirs.
Anti-air
Most time firing flak this match
Time each AA ring spent firing on aircraft, per ship. Missile defence is included where the match had missiles.

Free accounts attach both post-battle scorecards (Personal and Team Result) with every upload; for GD Supporters they are optional but recommended. When another player in the same battle uploads it too – a teammate or an opponent – the two are merged automatically, adding their view of the map and their exact figures. They are the only source of a battle’s true Base XP, so they are what the research is built on - the estimate itself is now read from the replay and is only about 14 XP better with them than without. Dropping the replay starts the upload - your build is read from the replay, ready to save in one click.
Training room match? Just drop it: the replay says so itself, and step 1 is skipped automatically. It still uploads, decodes and estimates normally - it just cannot contribute a true Base XP figure to the research.
Debrief needs the PC version of Legends (Steam or Xbox), which saves battles to a replays folder. Where are my files?
Where do I find my replay & screenshots?
1 · Your replay file. The PC version saves every battle automatically. Open the folder for your store:
C:\XboxGames\World of Warships - Legends\Content\replays
In Steam, right-click World of Warships: Legends → Manage → Browse local files, then open the replays folder. On the default drive that is:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\World of Warships Legends\replays
Installed to a Steam library on another drive? It lives there instead, e.g. under D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common.
Both folders hold your ~10 most recent WoWsL battles as .wowsreplay files, named by date & ship (e.g. 20260719_..._Jutland_....wowsreplay). The game auto-deletes older ones - grab a good game soon after it ends.
2 · Your two scorecards. At the results screen, capture both the Personal and Team Result tabs:
- Steam: press F12 on each screen - find them later via Steam → View → Screenshots → "Show on disk".
- Windows Snipping Tool: press ⊞ Win + Shift + S, drag a box, and it saves the shot.
Visibility for new uploads:
Opening someone else’s private or fleet replay is recorded in the admin access log and is not counted as a view.
