Getting Started
How do I get my WoWs Legends data?
- Go to wowslegends.com and log in
- Navigate to Account Management
- Click Data Export (under GDPR/privacy)
- Wait for the email (usually 1-3 days)
- Download the ZIP file
- Upload it to GamingDiver
Tip: Bookmark the account management page so you can request fresh exports easily. We recommend every 2-4 weeks.
Do I need to sign in?
Yes. You can browse public ship/reference pages without an account, but uploading your own export requires signing in. Accounts let GamingDiver save and delete uploads, track snapshots over time, and support missing or newly released ships without adding background upload instrumentation.
Does it work on Xbox and PlayStation?
Yes. Both platforms. The data export from Wargaming is the same format regardless of which console you play on.
Does it work for WoWs PC?
Yes. GamingDiver supports both WoWs Legends and WoWs PC exports, and keeps each platform separate so ship lists, tiers, and stats stay accurate.
Understanding Your Stats
What is spotting damage?
Damage dealt by your teammates to enemies that you detected first. It's a key stat for destroyer players. High spotting damage means you're doing your job keeping enemies lit up. This stat isn't shown anywhere in-game.
What is potential damage (tanking)?
The total damage of shells and torpedoes that were aimed at your ship, whether they hit or missed. High potential damage means you were drawing enemy fire and protecting your teammates. Important for battleship players.
Why are my stats different from the in-game screen?
The in-game stats screen only shows basic totals. GamingDiver calculates per-ship averages, K/D ratios, spotting damage, accuracy, and more from your raw battle data. These are more accurate and detailed than what the game shows.
What do the filters do?
- Nation flags: filter by country (USA, Japan, Germany, etc.)
- Tier buttons: filter by ship tier (I through VIII + ★ for premiums)
- Class buttons: battleship ⚓, cruiser 🛡️, destroyer 💨, carrier ✈️
- Min battles: hide ships with fewer battles than the threshold
- Tech Tree / Premium: toggle between research ships and premium ships
Features
What stats does GamingDiver track?
GamingDiver covers ship performance, career stats, collection progress, trends over time, and community comparisons for both WoWs Legends and WoWs PC. See the
WoWs Stats overview for the full feature list.
How do I track my progress over time?
Each time you upload a data export, GamingDiver saves a snapshot for your signed-in account. Right after a new upload you see your recent performance since last time (win rate, damage, K/D, kills, survival) for free. Per-ship and per-tier trends over time, comparison windows, and community context are Fleet Member features. Upload a new export every 2-4 weeks for useful trend data.
What is the Port / Collection tab?
The Port tab shows every ship in the game and whether you own it, sold it, or haven't acquired it yet. It shows completion percentages by nation and lets you sort by name, tier, battles, or XP. Great for completionists.
Can I see which ships I've sold?
Yes! The Sold Ship Recovery section identifies premium ships you've sold (with support ticket recovery costs) and tech tree ships you've sold (with repurchase prices in silver).
What is the play time heatmap?
A visual grid showing when you typically play by day of week and hour. It helps you see your gaming patterns at a glance. Found in the Trends tab.
Troubleshooting
My upload isn't working
Make sure you're uploading the ZIP file from Wargaming, not an extracted folder. The file should be named something like data_export_12345.zip. If it still doesn't work, try a different browser or clear your cache.
Some ships show as "Unknown"
This can happen with very new ships that haven't been added to our vehicle database yet. We update the database regularly. If you see unknowns,
let us know and we'll add them.
My trends aren't showing
Trends need at least 2 snapshots to show. Upload your data, wait a couple weeks, then upload again. If you're clearing browser data between uploads, the snapshots will be lost. Consider using the cloud backup feature.
How do I request a new data export?
Go to
wowslegends.com → Account Management → Data Export. You can request a new export at any time. It typically takes 1-3 days for Wargaming to prepare it.
